The Anaesthetists are leading experts in providing excellent pre operative assessment, perioperative and post operative care.   Dr Charlie Brown MB ChB FANZCA Charlie is originally from the United Kingdom and moved to Taranaki in 2001. He currently works as a consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive care. His interests include regional anesthesia, teaching, trauma management and surfing.   Dr Tom Lupton MBBS FRCA Tom originally trained in Manchester in the UK and moved to Taranaki in 2011. He works as a consultant in Anaesthesia at Taranaki District health board. He has a particular interest and is the Anaesthetic Lead for  enhanced Recovery after surgery ensuring optimal analgesia and outcomes for patients undergoing joint replacements.
